After reading the article about facebook's history (a few weeks ago), I have to say that Mark Zuckerberg is a colossal 'jerk' [will not use more offensive words but such is implied]. As much as his actions were not 'illegal', it really doesn't hurt to tell his team mates "I don't think this will work out between us, sorry" and then just disband the team. As he already knows that his code for most of the project is nearly done, there's really nothing that his team mates could do to stop him.
Now looking at him - CEO of a 50 billion dollar company, his actions really is certainly not necessary but I assume that his greediness got the better of him.
